Flower Deliveries

My Grandmother lives in the US, and the most cost effective way to arrange gifts for Christmas and her birthday is online. Her flowers from Proflowers have always arrived in such good condition that I have on occasions brought her flowers from them on special.

My favourite varieties? It's between the mini roses, the tulips and the gerbera daises, although her favourites were the Peruvian Lillies (below).

Etsy: Cute Cat's

So I love to browse through Etsy, and when I get a chance look through their Featured Sellers, Handpicked Items and Updated Blogs. That's how I came across Helene's gorgeous hand drawn items. I could resist her "Dear Kitty" (below) as it reminds me of my cat and her love of feathers!

Helene has a variety of items to select, all her own designs and all so cute it's hard to narrow it down to just one! Check out her shop at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/heleneweston?ref=seller_info or her website at: http://www.helenetheillustrator.co.uk/

Sydney Vintage Fair

I love all things vintage. Bags, hats, furs (yes, I know) and jewellery in particular. DH and I visited this a few years back and I'm looking forward to the one upcoming in October as we haven't been around for the last few.
This one's coming up 15-17th of October 2010, hope to see you there!

Brooches Galore

So I've been a bit slack in the posting department for the past month, hopefully I'll have a little bit more time and be able to post more often! Back to my pretty things....
I am a big fan of vintage and antique brooches, being the receiver of some nice Simpson brooches and others over the years. So I've had my eye on Madeleine Albrights book since it's release. One of the most famous quotes, being the title "Read my pins".

Needless to say, some of the brooches are so large and ornate that I would not wear them, however they are quite eye catching.
