Feather Headbands

I have a thing for feather headbands at the moment and there are a number of places you can purchase them, including Etsy, markets, Diva and ebay. But when on a visit to The Rocks a few weekends ago it was these headbands by Ruby and Crickette that caught my eye.

Can't get down to The Rocks for the weekend markets? No problems, they also sell on line.

My favourite three would have to be:

1. Peacock
2. Pheasant (see picture right)
3. Guinea Goose

Little Choopie: Hair Clips

About a year ago at a handmade fair in Sydney I stumbled across Little Choopie and the gorgeous hair clips she designs.

She does much more than hair clips, but they are my favourite and so cute to boot (for young girls and those of us still young at heart!).

This is the cute Lady Bug design I own. Puts the spring back in my step every time I wear them.

Etsy: Handmade cat magnets

Not long ago, somehow, I stumbled across what is Etsy. http://www.etsy.com/. A site where people post and sell their handmade items, as well as vintage goods. It's a shoppers paradise or hell, depending on how much time you spend scrolling through the items and how much money you spend on all the cute items you find.

One of my favourite sellers on Etsy is alliebeans, although I have only ever purchased her magnets, and always the cat design. http://www.etsy.com/shop/alliebeans. As a cat lover how could I resist these gorgeous fabric magnets for my fridge. Even DH doesn't object as they're stronger than any other magnet we've had, and our papers don't get relocated when the wind blows!

While I'm not delusional to believe I am as cleaver or creative as any of the Etsy sellers, it's still a place I browse, and occasional buy whenever I'm in the mood.
