Vintage Aprons

It seems to be the latest trend in vintage stores and at vintage fairs, the half aprons from the 1940s, 50s and 60s. I've seen a few cute one's lately, however due to my "modern" waist size, I am thinking they won't fit. However here are some cute ones that may catch your eye.

And my personal favourite, with the cherry print...

But if you're cleaver enough, you can always buy a vintage pattern, find some new (or vintage) print and make your own!

Coach Baggage Tags

On a recent trip to Las Vegas I picked up these cute luggage tags from Coach.

I got them in both hot red (above) and black at a great price, nothing like that little touch of luxury in your life. They do have a downside though, I lost one on a recent flight and I'm pretty sure it's because the chain that attaches them on snapped, so my new counter measure is to use a plastic loop that is a lot stronger, you could also use a cable tie, but it wouldn't look so nice then. Its amazing what you can find when you have your eye out.

B.Makowsky Monaco Satchel

So in previous posts I have mentioned that I am a bit handbag crazy. I recently acquired this beautiful B.Makowsky Monaco Satchel in Wisteria from Amazon (great price on the bag, shocking price for the shipping).

My original attraction to this bag was the description other bloggers and reviewers had given of the leather being "buttery" soft and indeed it is, it has a luxurious feel to it, but the reason I truly love this bag now that I own it, is that it has pockets, both on the inside and outside, for everything, such as no more searching for your mobile, there is a tiny pocket on the outside that faces you and is very discrete. My least favourite part of this bag? The animal print lining, I'm glad it's not something that I have to look at often as it's a bit over the top for my liking.

It will be interesting to see how long this bag lasts and how well it wears, but I do plan on replacing it with another B.Makowsky, if I can hold out that long!

Cute Shoes (and comfortable to boot)

I hate buying shoes, no matter what they never seem to fit the same once you're out of the store and back home. However, there is one exception (if you get a pair to fit in store) and they are comfortable as well.

You can buy Diana Ferrari Shoes in a variety of styles, colours and shapes. The problem is, if you buy them at a Diana Ferrari store vs. a department store or general shoe store, is that they have such cute dresses to tempt you as well.

My latest Diana Ferrari shoes are a winter season red "Leonie" style, cute for the weekends and casual Friday's. I also picked up the "Abelia" style, one pair in black and one pair in black/white. I'm hoping these shoes serve me as well as my other Diana Ferrari's have.

Feather Headbands

I have a thing for feather headbands at the moment and there are a number of places you can purchase them, including Etsy, markets, Diva and ebay. But when on a visit to The Rocks a few weekends ago it was these headbands by Ruby and Crickette that caught my eye.

Can't get down to The Rocks for the weekend markets? No problems, they also sell on line.

My favourite three would have to be:

1. Peacock
2. Pheasant (see picture right)
3. Guinea Goose

Sparkle Cupcakes Sydney

So what happens when pretty things are also yummy things? You can probably pick up from this post and my See's Candy post that I have a sweet tooth (DH's influence) and I stumbled across Sparkle Cupcakery when at a Sydney handmade market (can't remember which one) a few years ago.

I've never been in their store, but it looks absolutely divine, my problem would be which cupcake and how many, because there's too many good looking cakes for one only!

And don't worry if you can't get in store, they deliver!

Kate Spade Handbags

While most women have a collection of shoes, I seem to have a collection of handbags. Ahh, we all must have our vices I guess!

Until recently I hadn't even heard of Kate Spade, I don't know what planet I was living on, or what actually got me initially attracted, but on my visit to Princeton in May 2010, I decided I just had to have one.

The problem is which Kate Spade do I want/like/need the most? Do I go for a leather or one in fabric? Once I've made that choice, what colour? Red, black, gold, yellow? Then onto style, do I need it for a weekend of the beach, work, that bridal shower or for running errands? What is a girl to do?

Below is the two beauties I have on order (I did have it down to four, but (un)luckily they ran out of the other two before I made my payment....
